Wedding Preview - Stephanie and Matthew

Date: 11th November 2011
Service: Cliff Street Reserve, Norah Head
Additional Photos Locations: Norah Head Lighthouse, Norah Head
Reception: Diggers @ The Entrance, The Entrance

Stephanie and Matthew had chosen Cliff Street reserve to be married, with its backdrop of the ocean and Norah Head Lighthouse. With a long walk across the grass and up the aisle for Stephanie, it gave everyone time to see how much effort Stephanie had put into the day. You could hear some of their guests comment on how beautiful she looked walking towards them.

Once we started photos, we had plenty of great opportunities around both the park and also at Norah Head Lighthouse. The rock shelf below the lighthouse is always a fantastic location for photos and I am sure you will agree that this day only proves that. As always, comments welcome.

Wedding Preview - Krystle and Anthony

Date: 26th November 2011
Bride Preparations: Private Residence, Killarney Vale
Groom Preparations: Private Residence, Mardi
Service: Private Residence, Mardi
Reception: Private Residence, Mardi

Krystle and Anthony came to us after we photographed her sister's wedding a few years ago. She was lucky enough to have most of her wedding plans under control including the use of Anthony's parents property at Mardi. Unfortunately a week of torrential rain had the potential of changing those plans. Even as we drove to photograph Anthony getting ready, the rain was only just clearing and an outside service was very doubtful.

When the rain cleared (which was only around 2 hours before the service), it turned out to be a spectacular backdrop for both service and location photos. The property looked magnificent and the happy couple were... more than happy with a masterstroke supplied by Mother Nature. As always, comments welcome.

Wedding Preview - Lee-Anne and Ryan

Date: 11th November 2011
Bride Preparations: Shoal Bay Holiday Park, Shoal Bay
Groom Preparations: d’Albora Marina, Nelson Bay
Service: Nelson Head Lighthouse, Nelson Bay
Reception: Shoal Bay Resort and Spa, Shoal Bay

Nelson Head Lighthouse provides a stunning backdrop for a wedding service, and a great location for photos afterwards. With almost stadium seating on the hill for all guests (and photographers), Lee-Anne and Ryan were married with a view over the waters of Port Stephens. We spent some time up at the lighthouse for photos, with their bridal party, before moving down to the beach at Shoal Bay for more photos.

Shoal Bay is a fantastic spot for wedding photos, especially when your reception is at Shoal Bay Resort, straight across the road from the beach. This gave us an opportunity to take some nice photos in the afternoon and then return later in the evening for some night time photos. One of the photos below shows the result of the night time photos. As always, comments welcome.

Wedding Preview - Kim and Linsday

Date: 22nd October 2011
Bride Preparations: Tower Lodge, Pokolbin
Groom Preparations: Private Residence, Aberdare
Service: Hunter Resort, Pokolbin
Reception: Hunter Resort, Pokolbin
Additional Photo Locations: Tower Lodge, Pokolbin

We have said before that vineyard weddings are always spectacular, but when the wedding is being organised by someone who works within the wedding and events industry, you can expect some extra attention to detail. Kim and Lindsay's wedding had all the hallmarks of a showcase wedding, bringing together some of the best the vineyards has to offer.

Tower Lodge is an amazing place for photos. From the polished timber floors and panelling in the antique filled rooms to the Spanish Hacienda style of the courtyard and outdoor surrounds, fantastic photos are readily available. Combined with the open space of the landscaped gardens at Hunter Resort, and a couple who were a pleasure to work with, Kim and Lindsay's wedding was always going to provide some wonderful photos. As always, comments welcome.
