Wedding Preview - Kim and Linsday

Date: 22nd October 2011
Bride Preparations: Tower Lodge, Pokolbin
Groom Preparations: Private Residence, Aberdare
Service: Hunter Resort, Pokolbin
Reception: Hunter Resort, Pokolbin
Additional Photo Locations: Tower Lodge, Pokolbin

We have said before that vineyard weddings are always spectacular, but when the wedding is being organised by someone who works within the wedding and events industry, you can expect some extra attention to detail. Kim and Lindsay's wedding had all the hallmarks of a showcase wedding, bringing together some of the best the vineyards has to offer.

Tower Lodge is an amazing place for photos. From the polished timber floors and panelling in the antique filled rooms to the Spanish Hacienda style of the courtyard and outdoor surrounds, fantastic photos are readily available. Combined with the open space of the landscaped gardens at Hunter Resort, and a couple who were a pleasure to work with, Kim and Lindsay's wedding was always going to provide some wonderful photos. As always, comments welcome.

Bride Preparations: The Sebel Kirkton Park, Pokolbin
Groom Preparations: Mecure Hotel, Maitland
Service: St Patricks, Nulkaba

The vineyards always seem to be able to put on a show and the wedding of Shaye and Jesse was no exception. With St Patricks at Nulkaba hosting the service and The Sebel Kirkton Park the reception, this was always going to be a spectacular wedding.

The Bridal Party ensured this was going to be a fantastic day no matter what the location. The weather on the day managed to hold off for some beautiful photos, and with light fading fast Kirkton Park provided some magnificent indoor locations for photos. As always, comments welcome.

Wedding Preview - Nadia and Kane

Date: 25th September 2011
Bride Preparations: Harrigan's Irish Pub Accomodation, Pokolbin
Groom Preparations: Mecure Hunter Valley Gardens, Pokolbin
Service: Hunter Valley Gardens, Pokolbin
Reception: The Barrel Room at Tempus Two, Pokolbin

In the lead up to Nadia and Kane's wedding, storms had blanketed most of the Hunter Valley. The decision was made to go ahead with the outdoor service inside Hunter Valley Gardens and thankfully the weather held off for a beautiful service at the top of the waterfall.

We were not so lucky for the location photos. The rain has set in for the afternoon and with a golf cart to take us around the Gardens for photos, we moved from awnings to rotundas in an attempt to capture some photos. With Nadia, Kane and the entire Bridal Party prepared to brave the weather, what we ended up with was some spectacular photos which I am sure will be a big surprise for anyone who was there on the day. As always, comments welcome.

Every now and again we see a venue which offers a unique and private location for a wedding, Leaves and Fishes is definitely one of those venues. With a service held in the courtyard, photos by the lake and reception in the restaurant, Zoe and Shain had the wedding day of the dreams.

With a service late in the afternoon, we were able to take advantage of a beautiful sunset and take some spectacular photos by the lake. During the reception, we were able to whisk away Zoe and Shain for some night time photos from around the venue. As always, comments welcome.

The newly opened Chateau Elan is a wonderful location on its own, add the surroundings of The Vintage Golf Club and you have the perfect all-in-one wedding venue. Jennifer and Matthew had the perfect venue, along with perfect weather to celebrate their wedding day. Their service was held in the Carriage House which is a beautiful sandstone chapel set right on the golf course with some magnificent views.

The entire bridal party took a short cart ride through the golf course to the vines backing onto Bimbadgen Estate where we took some beautiful sunset photos before returning to the reception. The photos below show how stunning both the Carriage House and Chateau Elan can be of a night as well. As always, comments welcome.
